I was fascinated that posters like Bob Nelson accepted this "solid proof" as gospel. The one question that should have been asked and wasn't was, "If it was gospel, then why weren't the people against whom such accusations are made allowed to be participate in answering such accusations?"
ReplyDeleteI can only say from my perspective is there was never an e-mail that I sent anyone that was against their CoH or User Agreement. They can try to spin it anyway they like to but it wasn't either of those two groups that ever collapsed an article like was done to the group articles that we posted.
There was a concerted effort by Brad LeJerk, Viki the Babbler, Isaacs, Verlinger. Kim and that merry bands of liberal lunatics targeted the more conservative articles on Newsvine to disrupt. It's also very convenient to remove the articles of banned people to allow others to see what was really occurring.
I have to agree totally with Citizen Kane that it was censorship and censorship at its worst form. Newsvine knows it and so does anyone with a bit of common sense. so let them go talk to each other in the mirror.
They don't and will never apply the CoH fairly across the site. Until they do people will be banned. Life goes on without the vine and from the stories people have emailed me, Calvin and Tyler have lost a lot of readership and credibility over this which is what they deserve.

BTW looks like their readership has dropped off pretty bad, you'll only need 175 comments and 25 votes to be on the Top of the Vine.

It's obvious why they don't leave the posts on the Vine. Then people could go there and debunk what they claim to be the gospel according to Tyler and Calvin. They did it to me. The several months later I got a comment restored that had been deleted as they were trying to cover their tracks.

Anybody remember my marbles analogy? Here it is. When the groups really started to get going and as more and more people hooked in, I noticed something that reminded of my childhood. Anybody else remember having to play marbles with a bunch of scrounged up half cracked spaghetti's? Well, that's C-boy and T-dude. Then all of us responsible types with our excellent steelies, boulders, shooters and soldiers show up to make the game more fun and interesting. Then the spaghetti crowd started getting a little possessive and less than sportsmanlike. So, we picked up our marbles and left. Now, they are back to the sucko marbles they were playing with before...but hey, at least it's their own marbles, right?
ReplyDeletep.s. I have removed all NV mentions from my machine, my favorites and my notes. Havent been back and wont go back. Never received a reply to my query about my account being disabled. I hope they love their marbles as much as I love mine!
ReplyDeleteI used to have some nice clear marbles with blue swirls in the middle. Those were my favs. They were always the best shooters. Watching them spin round but still clear enough to see them roll straight. Ok yea I'm on some heavy pain meds. so what. :D

ReplyDeleteFP My brother had a steelie he called Goliath, he brought it out when he wanted to make the other kids cry after he took all their marbles. He was rotten. :o)
