I don't care what political party your a party to or whether your ideals fall under Liberal or Conservative there is trouble right here in the good old USA with the Media. The Media is either in the pocket of this new administration or being controlled by the US Government and as an American this hurts everyone. The problem you see is Americans get their information from the television set. Each night people like myself get home from a hard days work paying off the nations' stimulus plan for Obama and his gang, and sit down to take in the nightly news. As news goes there are a number of options these days since there are something like 5 major news agencies, but it doesn't matter which one you watch of the 5 most of them will repeat the same stories. Only 1 takes the chance to be daring and oppose the new Autocracy we now call the Presidency. You know who you are and I thank you.
Now as we sit there eating our low fat, low cholesterol chicken dinner and sipping a diet coke we are taking in only what the new President and his team would like you to hear. No one questions the press secretary, or if they do they'll just receive some glib response from Bob (Glib) Gibbs a supposed seasoned press secretary who fashions himself a slight comedian rather than someone one would expect to have the nations breadth in his hip pocket. Today's perils are serious yet we can't seem to get that from Gibbs, he is more concerned with getting a laugh out of the press than they are at getting the truth.
So as we continue down this path take note that one of the things we as Americans need to understand right now is what is the status of this country. What are the issues the government is working on and what are the plans and actions that are getting accomplished.

On June 3rd thousands of people turned out for Take Back Our State Campaign T.E.A. Partys the only coverage seen here was on WRAL for about 8 seconds. In Mesa Arizona hundreds of protesters turned out a week ago when Obama was there to discuss the Stimulus. Do you really want this to be the way the News reports?
After being banned from Newsvine for organizing Conservatives (apparently better than the Liberals were able to organize there) I hear from my old Newsvine friends who are still allowed to use the site, even though they are conservatives; that only Liberal and Democratic stories bashing GOP are posted. Stories that were stored in private unpublished directories are being posted by some Newsvine Staff and then the Conservative member is banned. Stories are collapsed after being BLOCK VOTED down with nary a response from Newsvine Staff as to why and Viners who post links to Conservative Sites find the links never appear.
If we the people don't stand up and start saying No More BS the Media will continue to manipulate us, dumb us down and tell us the happy little, 'It's alright' crap they call the news.

No News Week - June 8th through June 12th
Just turn it off. Watch re-runs from Happy Days. Don't post any stories or comments to the Main Stream Media news sites. Come here and talk until you are blue in the face. Just don't tune in the news. Imagine how you'll feel not thinking about the Fascist/Socialist or whatever ideaolgy you want to call this administration. Tell Glib Gibbs to go take a hike. Post your own writing expressing your own feelings to your favorite blogs, just don't do the news. It's only 5 days. Hit em where it hurts.
